Registered Manager

Majestic Family Services is an established and successful Residential Family Centre service providing expert, evidence-based parenting assessments to Local Authorities and the Courts. We are currently seeking a Registered Manager for our Broadstairs home, Buckmaster House. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic Social Work England registered Social Worker to take on an exciting role and provide professional leadership to the home. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with children and families, at Senior Practitioner/Team Manager level and have a positive, caring and dynamic attitude.

Responsibilities include:

• Undertake the role of the Ofsted Registered Manager and ensure compliance with regulations and good practice guidelines
• Be willing to develop a comprehensive understanding of The National Minimum Standards and Regulations for Residential Family Centres
• Provide leadership and management, ensuring that adequate supervision of team members is provided at all times
• Oversee all aspects of service delivery within the home, and ensure that a high standard of assessment and support is provided to each family placed within the home
• Support staff to ensure a minimum of ‘good’ quality service that promotes positive outcomes for children and their families
• To ensure that all staff work in accordance with the Statement of Purpose and Function of the centre
• To be responsible for the implementation and adherence to Child Protection and Adult Protection Safeguarding Procedures
• To demonstrate by example, good childcare practice and a professional social work approach to work with residents and their families.
• Ensure that requirements for SWE Social work registration are adhered to

Person Specification:

Essential

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Calm, approachable manner, adaptable and non- judgmental
• Able to work under initiative and as part of a team
• Resilient, committed and motivated person
• Experienced social worker, including preciously working in a Local Authority Children and Families team
• Leadership/ managerial experience
• Supervisory experience
• Good working knowledge of up to date safeguarding legislation, guidance and protocol
• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/ Grade 4 or above
• Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England

Desirable

• Understanding of National Minimum Standards and Regulations relating to Residential Family Centres
• Ability to drive and hold a full driving license
• Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
• CUBAS Trained
