Family Nurse (Residential Parenting Assessment Centre)

£25,000- £30,000 (Pro rata) dependent on qualifications & experience

Majestic Family Services is a successful, expanding Kent based Residential Parenting Assessment Centre providing specialist parenting assessments for Local Authorities and the Courts. We were graded as ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent Ofsted Inspection.

We are currently looking to recruit 1 part time Family Nurse (between 22- 26 hours per week) based within our Residential Centre in South East Kent. This position is a permanent role and you will be responsible for providing the families in placement with health advice, guidance and education around child and adult health issues, contributing to assessments and liaising with local health services. This is an exciting role in a unique, expanding organisation.

Applicants must have the following qualifications and skills:

* You must be professionally registered with the NMC, and eligible to work in the UK

* You must have a relevant Nursing qualification

* At least 2 years post qualification experience, preferably in working with children ie. Paediatrics, health visiting, midwifery, school nursing etc.

* Flexibility, adaptability and confidentiality

* You will be required to form part of an on call team

* You will be required to supervise staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with regulations, legislation and best practice guidelines
• Co- ordinate the delivery of health guidance and advice to families in placement
• Liaise with medical professionals involved with families in placement
• Ensure an excellent quality service that promotes positive outcomes for the families in placement
• Contribute to the parenting assessments undertaken
• Promote the company and ensure professional standards are maintained at all times
